Parachute Factory is excited to announce our involvement in the Agency by Design Learning Community! The AbDLC is part of Project Zero – a long running research project of the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Agency by Design is a three year study on makerspaces in education. As a member of the AbDLC, Parachute Factory is contributing data from our work in the community and test piloting some of Harvard’s best practices in maker education.

We are both honored and humbled to be a part of such an important moment in maker education. The group consists of around 30 amazing spaces from all over the country. In the summer we were visited by one of Project Zero’s researchers, who observed several of our makerspace events and conducted an interview with me. In November I was invited to Cambridge to take part in the AbDLC launch at Harvard University.
